I would recommend Hotel Kazusaya to anyone anytime. It's 1 minute away from Shin-Nihonbashi Station which is 1 stop away from Tokyo Station, has free wireless and is inexpensive.
I actually can stand the cold much more than I think. Training from the LTs at NUS perhaps.
Losing your way can be fun. I lost mine for more than an hour and found the Bank of Japan which looked extremely out of place in Tokyo.

The underground network that's linked to Tokyo Station is a shopping haven.
Do visit the Imperial Palace Outer Gardens and the Imperial Palace East Gardens in Tokyo. The land in the Outer Gardens is extremely vast and the East Gardens is rich in history. It's free but you'll need at least half a day.
Still not used to situations where the other person uses casual forms but I have to use polite forms.
