"Paying first" for birthday presents
Dilemma: It's very paiseh to 开口要钱 when everyone is enjoying himself/herself at a birthday party. In fact, it's very hard to put across the statement "You owe me money" in a nice way. But you have to get your money back!
Solutions:
1. Ask a good friend to collect the money on your behalf, because the good friend will be buay paiseh to help you demand for the owed money. Haha. Thought up by Sa.
2. 厚着脸皮跟人要钱。There's really no need to 厚着脸皮 lah. You have the right to ask for the money mah.
So I'm going to be really thick-skinned in asking for money the next time I pay for a present!
